This bridesmaid dress needed several alterations.
Originally it was strapless and way too long. If you are a woman with any kind of bust, then you know that strapless is not the way to go!
The dress was around 5 inches too long. So hemming up both layers gave me extra material to completely fabricate supportive straps for her.
We also added a front slit and took in the waist under her bust. (Again with supporting the girls!)
Not only did she look great in photos, but she felt beautiful and comfortable as she danced the night away!!
Ordering online can be tricky. Having a Seamstress in your pocket makes it easy!
This wonderful woman was a last minute bridesmaid and was determined to fit seamlessly into her role.
She was able to order the dress that matched the other bridesmaids, but didn’t have enough time order a custom fit. Fortunately, she knew to contact me and I was able to make it work, just in time.
Of course the dress was several sizes too large and needed to be taken in at the waist. I moved the zipper, shortened all of these adorable straps, and hand stitched the tiny little buttons and hooks.
When your dress fits perfectly, you not only look better, but you feel better.
This is a memorable day! Remember how much you loved it, not how uncomfortable you were.

When I was first contacted about this prom dress, I was absolutely ecstatic!! She is so beautiful on the inside and watching her find that on the outside was like watching a spark come to life!
It fit her body like it was made for her, and she reminded me of a mermaid with that absolutely gorgeous train.
What could I really do to improve it? Simple, make sure that she could capture that beautiful feeling and then enjoy it throughout the entire night!
I did make several small alterations, but this bustle is my absolute favorite. Keep your train, but dance like it’s your Senior Prom!
Sometimes you order a dress the prefect size, but the wedding is 6 months later!!

A good seamstress knows how to look at the inner workings of a piece and find extra millimeters. Sometimes dress manufacturers allow for this, but few people know how to utilize it!!
